Brandon Lewis, CPA, CA, CBV, CFF joined White & Lewis in 2016 as a Partner.

Brandon is experienced in business valuation, quantification of economic loss, corporate finance, and forensic accounting. Brandon has been qualified as an expert witness and given expert testimony on business valuation and damages quantification matters at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and also has experience in mediation and arbitration settings. He has completed extensive business valuations in a variety of contexts, including but not limited to: family law, tax planning initiatives, shareholder disputes/buyouts, portfolio valuation, corporate finance and estate planning. Brandon has expertise in a broad range of industries.

Brandon has also authored Expert Reports and other reports quantifying financial damages in shareholder disputes, dissent and oppression, breach of contract and other contract disputes, product liability, breach of fiduciary duty, securities violations and disputes, expropriation, business interruption insurance claims, negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation, and family law-related matters (income for support purposes and business valuations for purposes of calculating Net Family Property).

Brandon completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting at Dalhousie University in 2005. Brandon obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2007, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario). Brandon achieved his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation in 2012, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV Institute). Brandon is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Most recently, Brandon became a Cryptocurrency Tracing Certified Examiner (CTCE) issued by CipherTrace, a leading company in Cryptocurrency tracing and investigations.

Brandon is part-time faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Professional Development program, at York University. Brandon has authored articles on business valuation topics and facilitates professional development courses for legal professionals across Ontario on a variety of accounting and valuation topics.

Additionally, Brandon is the Treasurer of St. Michael and All Angels Day Care Centre and former Treasurer of The Jewish Camp Council of Toronto and Camp Northland B’nai Brith.
